Generation Zero is out now, giving players a chance to roam across an alternative version of 1980’s Sweden and take on mysterious robots in straight up firefights or guerilla warfare. Whether playing solo or in co-op, you’ll want to make sure your progress is kept and you might be wondering how to save your game.
Here’s all we know on how to save your game in Generation Zero.
How To Save Your Game in Generation Zero
<p>
Generation Zero saves your game automatically when you arrive at one of the many safehouses spread across the game’s map. Regardless if it’s a freshly discovered safehouse or one that you found beforehand and are running or fast travelling to, you should see a symbol blinking in the upper right corner of the screen. That signals that your progress has been saved.
There currently doesn’t seem to be a way of manually saving your game in Generation Zero. It’s also worth keeping in mind that in co-op, world progress is currently only saved for the host. This means that guests will have to rediscover and redo quests if they plan to host a game themselves after being someone else’s co-op partner.
Generation Zero also shares quest progress between your characters, meaning that there’s no way of going for a fresh start currently, should you want to do that.
As of launch, a portion of the playerbase is also reporting issues with saving their progress upon visiting new safehouses. If you find that you’re discovering safehouses but Generation Zero isn’t saving your progress, you’re not alone.
