Winter Veil has come to Hearthstone, the festive event’s second week bringing with it the Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl.
A familiar Tavern Brawl from previous years’ Winter Veils, the Gift Exchange focuses on destroying as many Winter’s Veil Gifts as possible.
Hearthstone Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl
During the first two turns of Hearthstone’s Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl, two Winters’ Veil Gift minions will spawn on both players’ sides. These are minions with 4 health, 0 attack, and a Deathrattle mechanic that gives the current player a Stolen Gift, regardless of whose side of the board they’re on when killed.
Should a turn start with a player not having any Winters’ Veil Gifts on their side, Greatfather Winter himself will drop one. The Stolen Winter’s Veil Gifts then let you Discover a spell or minion of 5 cost or higher, while also reducing its cost by 5.
Winning a Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl for the first time rewards you the Winter Veil Treat card back, provided you haven’t unlocked it yet. Otherwise, you’ll receive a Classic Card Pack to expand your collection.
Hearthstone’s Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl is expected to stick around for a week.
