Hotline Miami 3 is not in Development

Hotline Miami 3 is not getting a viral promotional campaign after all, according to the latest word from the publishers themselves, Devolver Digital.

If you’re not in the loop, a Twitter account that’s a clear reference to the protagonist of Hotline Miami (jacketisnotdead) has recently posted a quality-made teaser video that ended with the message that announced a full trailer coming soon. Of course, people got excited, but too early it seems.

The video in question is classic Hotline Miami: heavily-stylised violence with trademark music, the visuals are equal parts grime and vivid colours, and there’s an over-abundance of blood strewn all over the place. All the hallmarks were in place.

However, Devolver was quick to jump on top of things: “This is a very cool fan film (or teaser for one maybe) but rest assured there is not another Hotline Miami game in development.”

That ‘Full Trailer coming soon’ isn’t all that exciting, then, but we may still get a cool-looking fan film out of it. Let us wait and see, and stay tuned for more info as we get it.
