Publisher Sega and developer Amplitude Studios today announced that 4X strategy game Humankind’s first expansion, Together We Rule has locked down its release date to early November.
Pre-orders for Humankind - Together We Rule are also now live. Purchasing the expansion prior to launch gets you a 10% discount off its base price of $19.99/€19.99/£15.99 or your regional equivalent.
The expansion fleshes out the game’s diplomatic layer, through the introduction of the Congress of Humankind, which is an “inter-empire forum” that allows “players to vote and decide on global doctrines and arbitrate international conflicts together,” according to the publisher.
The new Embassy quarter lets you sign mutually beneficial agreements involving such things as joint training or research.
Leverage is a new currency introduced in Humankind - Together We Rule which can be used to force an empire to perform actions that benefit you, including lowering war support or enforcing demands.
You gather it using agents, a new unit type that’s also capable of infiltrating, sabotaging, and disinforming other empires.
The expansion also brings 6 new cultures – the Sumerians, the Han Chinese, the Bulgarians, the Swiss, the Scots, and the Singaporeans –, and the new Diplomatic affinity, 6 new wonders, and more.
Humankind - Together We Rule will be accompanied by the free “Metternich” update, which will be available for all players.
It introduces new stealth mechanics, revamps independent peoples, allows third-party battle reinforcements to help turn the tide, alongside adding new UI options and improvements.
Humankind - Together We Rule has locked down its release date to November 9, 2022, when it is set to arrive on PC.
