Riot Games pushes out regular updates for its popular MOBA, and having a patch schedule nearby is necessary to keep track of when the next one’s due out. The LoL patch 12.19 release date is set for Wednesday, October 5, which is when the changes that make it through testing hit live servers.
League of Legends Patch 12.19
On the PBE, players could try out the following 10 new skins: Spirit Blossom Aphelios (1350 RP), Spirit Blossom Darius (1350 RP), Spirit Blossom Evelynn (1350 RP), Spirit Blossom Master Yi (1350 RP), Prestige Spirit Blossom Master Yi, Spirit Blossom Sett (1820 RP), Spirit Blossom Soraka (1350 RP), Spirit Blossom Syndra (1350 RP), Spirit Blossom Tristana (1350 RP), and Spirit Blossom Yorick (1350 RP).
The LoL 12.19 maintenance schedule is always revealed closer to launch. Usually, it takes about 3 hours for patches to be deployed across different regions. Janna is set to receive a long-awaited VFX update that should bring her visuals and spell effects in line with the game’s current standards.
Syndra’s midscope update is also on the way and part of League 12.19’s PBE cycle, as developer Riot Games looks to gather feedback from players. Planned changes target both her base stats and abilities.
In addition, the first set of balance changes considered for League of Legends’ patch 12.19, as spotted by Surrender at 20, bring buffs to Blitzcrank, Malphite, alongside a variety of other tweaks that may or may not make it into the live build.

Blitzcrank - Buffed
Stats:
- Base attack speed increased to 0.65 from 0.625
- Attack speed ratio increased to 0.7 from 0.625
Overdrive (W):
- Bonus attack speed increased to 40/53/66/79/92% from 30/38/46/54/62%
- Mana cost increased to 85 from 75
- New: Attacks during W deal an additional 1% of target’s maximum HP in magic damage. Against non-champions, this damage is increased by an extra 60-180 (based on level) damage.
Power Fist (E):
- Mana cost increased to 40 from 25
- Knock-up duration increased to 1 second from 0.9 seconds
- Empowered auto attack damage increased to 200% total AD (+ 25% AP) from 200% total AD
- New: Against non-champions, Blitzcrank’s E empowered auto attacks will deal a bonus 150% total AD (+ 125% AP) damage
Static Field (R):
- Maximum stacks from passive increased to Unlimited from 3 stacks
- Magic damage from stacks on-hit increased to 50/100/150 (+ 30/40/50% AP) from 50/100/150 (+ 30% AP)
- Magic damage increased to 275/400/525 (+ 125% AP) from 275/400/525 (+ 100% AP)
Ekko - Buffed
Z Drive Resonance (Passive):
- Third proc damage increased to 30-140 (based on level) (+ 90% AP) from 30-140 (based on level) (+ 80% AP)
Chronobreak (R):
- Magic amage increased to 200/350/500 (+ 175% AP) from 200/350/500 (+ 150% AP)
Fizz - Buffed
Playful / Trickster (E):
- Magic damage increased to 70/120/170/220/270 (+ 90% AP) from 70/120/170/220/270 (+ 75% AP)
Garen - Buffed
Judgment (E):
- Critical strike damage increased to 75% (+ 1% per 1% bonus critical strike damage from 58% (+ 1% per 1% bonus critical strike damage
Jinx - Buffed
Stats:
- Base AD increased to 59 from 57
Super Mega Death Rocket (R)
- Base damage to primary target increased to 300/450/600 from 250/400/550
Kai'Sa - Buffed
Second Skin (Passive):
- 5th attack proc damage increased to 15% (+ 6% per 100 AP) of target's missing health from 15% (+ 5% per 100 AP) of target's missing health
Malphite - Buffed
Thunderclap (W):
- Cone AoE physical damage increased to 15/25/35/45/55 (+ 30% AP) (+ 15% armor) from 15/25/35/45/55 (+ 20% AP) (+ 15% armor)
Unstoppable Force (R):
- Magic damage increased to 200/300/400 (+ 90% AP) from 200/300/400 (+ 80% AP)
Master Yi - Nerfed
Stats:
- AD growth decreased to 2.2 from 2.5
Wuju Style (E):
- Bonus true damage decreased to 30/35/40/45/50 (+30% bonus AD) from 30/35/40/45/50 (+35% bonus AD)
Nasus - Buffed
Siphoning Strike (Q):
- Empowered bonus attack range increased to 175 (50 bonus range) from 175 (25 bonus range)
Wither (W):
- Attack speed slow increased to 75% of movement speed slow (new attack speed slow values: 35.25/44.25/53.25/62.25/71.25%) from 50% of movement speed slow (23.5/29.5/35.5/41.5/47.5%)
Fury of the Sands:
- Damage tick rate decreased to every 0.5 second (note: overall damage is unchanged) from every 1 second
- Size increased to +30/35/40% Size (levels 6/11/16) from 30%
- New: AoE radius of Nasus’ damage now increases based on his size
Nunu - Buffed
Absolute Zero (R):
- Magic damage increased to 625/950/1275 (+ 300% AP) from 625/950/1275 (+ 250% AP)
Rakan - Buffed
Fey Feathers (Passive):
- Shield strength increased to 30-225 (based on level) (+ 95% AP) from 30-225 (based on level) (+ 85% AP)
Gleaming Quill (Q):
- Magic damage increased to 70/115/160/205/250 (+ 70% AP) from 70/115/160/205/250 (+ 60% AP)

- Auto attacks against marked enemy damage decreased to 3.5% of target’s maximum health from 3.75% of target’s maximum health

- Dragon form extra damage decreased to Additional 75-135 (based on level) (+30% AD) (+30% AP) (Note: this is in addition to the E base damage) from Additional 100-160 (based on level) (+30% AD) (+30% AP)</ul>
Dragon's Descent (R):
- Magic damage increased to 150/250/350 (+ 130% AP) from 150/250/350 (+ 100% AP)
Sona - Buffed
Hymn of Valor (Q):
- Base damage increased to 50/80/110/140/170 from 40/70/100/130/160
Song of Celerity (E):
- Slow increased to 50% (+ 4% per 100 AP) from 40% (+ 4% per 100 AP)
Syndra - Changed
Stats:
- Base health decreased to 563 from 593
Transcendent (Passive):
- Updated Passive: Syndra collects up to 120 Splinters of Wrath via damaging enemy champions and gaining levels. Splinters of Wrath enhance Syndra and her abilities.
- Mana from Splinters: Syndra restores 20-215 (based on levels 1-18) mana whenever she collects a Splinter from an enemy
- Transcended: At 120 Splinters, Syndra gains 15% Total AP
- Syndra can gain Splinters of Wrath from the following methods:
- Damaging an enemy champion with 2 abilities within 4 seconds grants (1/2/3 at levels 1/11/18) Splinters (8 second cooldown per target)
- Syndra will receive 5 Splinters of Wrath when she levels up
- Killing a Cannon minion grants 1 Splinter of Wrath
- New Look: When Syndra fully upgrades an ability she will receive a new, upgraded ability icon
Dark Sphere (Q):
- Cooldown increased to 7 seconds from 4 seconds
- Mana cost decreased to 40/45/50/55/60 from 40/50/60/70/80
- Magic damage increased to 70/105/140/175/210 (+ 70% AP) from 70/105/140/175/210 (+ 65% AP)
- New: Transcended Dark Sphere: Upon gathering 40 Splinters of Wrath, Q will be able to store up to 2 charges (Note: 1.25 second cooldown between casts)
Scatter the Weak (E):
- Cooldown changed to 15 seconds at all ranks from 18/17/16/15/15 seconds
- Stun Duration decreased to 1.25 seconds from 1.5 seconds
- Magic damage decreased to 75/115/155/195/235 (+ 55% AP) from 85/130/175/220/265 (+ 60% AP)
- Scatter angle increased to 56 degrees from 34 degrees
- New: Reduced the likelihood of Q not stunning targets at close range
- New: Dark Spheres spawned after casting Scatter the Weak are no longer fired as missiles
- New: Upon gathering 80 Splinters of Wrath, Scatter the Weak's cone is increased (56 degrees ⇒ 84 degrees) and also slows enemies by 70% for 1.25 seconds (applied after initial CC)
Unleashed Power (R):
- Damage per sphere decreased to 90/130/170 (+ 17% AP) from 90/140/190 (+ 20% AP)
- New: Unleashed Power will now grant Q - Dark Sphere an additional 10/20/30 Ability Haste
- New: Upon gathering 100 Splinters of Wrath, Unleashed Power will execute champions below 15% max health
Tahm Kench - Buffed
Tongue Lash (Q):
- AP ratio increased to 90% from 70%
Tongue Lash (Q):
- Magic damage increased to 80/130/180/230/280 (+ 90% AP) (+ An Acquired Taste proc 8-60 (based on level)) (+ 3% bonus health) from 80/130/180/230/280 (+ 70% AP) (+ An Acquired Taste proc 8-60 (based on level)) (+ 3% bonus health)
Abyssal Dive (W):
- Damage per stack increased to 100/135/170/205/240 (+ 125% AP) from 100/135/170/205/240 (+ 125% AP)
Twitch - Buffed
Deadly Venom (Passive):
- Damage per stack per second increased to 1/2/3/4/5 (based on level) (+ 3% AP) from 1/2/3/4/5 (based on level) (+ 2.5% AP)
Contaminate (E):
- Magic damage per stack increased to 35/50/65/80/95 (+ 35% bonus AD) (+ 35% AP) from 35/50/65/80/95 (+ 35% bonus AD) (+ 33% AP)
Udyr - Buffed
Wilding Claw (Q):
- New: Awakened Wilding Claw will now deal a minimum of 40-160 damage to minions based on current level per strike of lightning
Iron Mantle (W):
- On-hit heal vs minions decreased to 40% heal reduction from 50% heal reduction
Wingborne Storm (R):
- Damage to minions increased to 50/60/70/80% (levels 1/6/11/16) from 40/55/70/85% (levels 1/6/11/16)
LoL 12.19 Item Balance Changes
Eclipse
- Lethality decreased to 12 from 18
- Bonus AD increased to 60 from 55
LoL 12.19 Bugfixes & QoL Changes
- Lowered the thresholds for the “Scoreboard” Challenge so that it is now easier to achieve. New wins required are 3 for Iron, 10 for Bronze, 20 for Silver, 30 for Gold, 50 for Platinum, 75 for Diamond, and 100 for Master.
- When using Collector as Jhin the execute damage displayed will now be 4444 instead of 999 or 9999
- Fixed a bug with Cho'Gath and Akshan where their icons in the HUD would sometimes display the incorrect icon or size
- Fixed a bug that caused the “One Stone” and “One Stone: 2022” Challenges to not progress correctly
- Fixed a bug that caused the “Most Dangerous Game” Challenge to only progress if killed in your own jungle by the enemy jungler
- Fixed a bug that was causing the Challenges tooltip to not appear when hovering over Challenges in the Identity Customizer menu
