Marvel Rivals is currently in development for PC and does not have a confirmed release date. An alpha test version will become available in May for interested players.
While there has been no official discussion of PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S versions, the possibility of expanding to these platforms in the future is something the team is interested in.
Will Marvel Rivals be released on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S?
Players can create teams of Super Heroes or Super Villains from the Marvel Multiverse, taking advantage of distinctive superpowers within a variety of destructible maps from Asgard to the Tokyo of 2099.
NetEase Games primarily focuses on developing games for PC and mobile platforms. Among the few titles that have transitioned to consoles, Naraka: Bladepoint stands out as a notable example.
Considering the entire portfolio of NetEase’s developed games, there have been relatively few transitions to consoles, suggesting that Marvel Rivals may not make its way to console platforms.
However, we did reach out to NetEase Games for comment and were told that the team is “hoping to look into it” in the future. We likely won’t hear anything until after the PC launch, which currently doesn’t have an estimated release date.
Eagle-eyed fans uncovered secret codes on the official website that, when activated, revealed logos for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This discovery adds fuel to the flame that versions of the game for these consoles are forthcoming.
