Publisher Deep Silver and developer 4A Games today detailed the contents of the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass. Players can look forward to two story-driven pieces of DLC, each focusing on a different character.
The two DLCs will be purchasable both as a package, part of the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass, or individually upon launch. Here’s where we get into details regarding each of the two upcoming expansions and, inevitably, spoilers for the main story of Metro Exodus.
Metro Exodus Expansion Pass DLC Content
<p>
The first Metro Exodus DLC, titled The Two Colonels, will follow Colonel Khlebnikov as he attempts to make his way back to his son, Kiril, for New Year’s Eve through Novosibirsk’s underground. With slime extending through the tunnels, mutants attacking relentlessly and the “green stuff” needed to keep people alive being in short supply, players will witness “the final days of life in Novosibirsk”. The story will be told through a linear chapter that also introduces a new weapon, the flamethrower. The Two Colonels is scheduled to release at some point in Summer 2019.
In early 2020, the second offering in the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass will release. Titled Sam’s Story, the DLC will follow Aurora’s sole American Spartan as he travels to Vladivostok, searching for a way to return back home through its tsunami-ravaged harbors and ruined buildings. The DLC will take the form of a more open survival sandbox level that should be familiar to anyone who’s played Metro Exodus.
Just like the base game, the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass is available on PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store, for the price of €24.99 or your regional equivalent.
