Bolstering your Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord armies with the best archers can give you a welcome advantage in fights, thinning the numbers of opponents your melee troops have to deal with. But where do you recruit them from?
Here are the best archers in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord and the factions from which you can recruit them.
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord Best Archers
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord’s archers come in two varieties: mounted and dismounted. While both excel at poking holes into your enemies from afar, the former boast extra mobility which, depending on your army type, can fit like a glove or require more micromanagement.
Bannerlord’s best dismounted archers hail from Battania. With a whopping 280 Bow skill – more than double that of their peers –, the Battaninan Fian Champions offer the most quality of any ranged unit that fights on foot.
To offset this large advantage, they’re the final upgrade tier of the Battanian Highborn Youth, a unit that’s quite rare in Bannerlord.
The best mounted archers in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord are the Khuzait Heavy Horse Archer and AseraI Heavy Mameluk Cavalry.
Both sport Bow and Riding skills of 130 alongside decent armor, however, the Khuzait upgrade path features mounted archers all throughout while the Aserai’s requires going through melee units before getting to their mounted archers.
