During the year, several events add seasonal flair to Overwatch through limited-time modes and cosmetic items, the anniversary event celebrating all of the hero shooter’s accomplishments and evolution. But when does the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event begin?
Here’s everything we know about the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event alongside it potential start and end dates.
Overwatch Anniversary 2020 Event Start and End Dates
Previous Overwatch Anniversary events have had their start and end dates in, largely, the same period. More specifically, they kicked off in late May – a few days after May 20 –, ending in early June, on or a few days after June 10.
All of them also started on Tuesdays and ended on Mondays, lasting for almost three weeks. So, then, what are the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event’s start and end dates?
Provided a similar logic is applied, the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event could begin on May 19 – the nearest Tuesday to May 20 – and end on June 8.
If Blizzard remains adamant about starting the event after May 20, that would see it kicking off on May 26 and concluding on June 15.
Overwatch Anniversary events usually bring back the modes of the previous events and introduce new cosmetic items for various heroes. With a bit of luck, the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event could introduce a new game mode of its own.
For the moment, Blizzard hasn’t shared any details regarding its plans for the Overwatch Anniversary 2020 event. We’ll keep an eye out and update this post as soon as we learn anything new.
