Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios have announced that Railway Empire 2 will feature co-op multiplayer support when it launches later in 2023.
A first for the series, cooperative multiplayer allows up to four players to join forces as they attempt to set up a profitable railway corporation.
Railway Empire 2 Co-Op Multiplayer Support
Railway Empire 2 co-op multiplayer support announcement was accompanied by the news that the sequel is also making its way to last-gen consoles.
The feature will, thus, be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. Players looking to pick up the game on the Nintendo Switch will, unfortunately, have to resort to its single-player modes.
The sequel promises improved track construction mechanics alongside “bigger, more detailed and lively maps than ever before,” that stretch across the US and continental Europe.
If co-op multiplayer isn’t quite your jam or you feel like taking a break from it, Railway Empire 2 also comes with 5 campaigns, 14 different scenarios as well as a “fully customizable” Free Play game mode and a separate construction mode.
Slated to release at some point later this year, you can learn more about the title by visiting its Steam page.
