Ubisoft have released a limited-time event for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege for Year 5 Season 1. May 5th marked the beginning of The Grand Larceny and the event will run until May 19th. The all-new gamemode, The Stolen Goods is set in a historic British version of the old Hereford map.
This 5v5 mode is inspired by the British mobs of the 20s and each Operator will wield only a main shotgun. While most Operators will be available in this event, 15 have been barred due to gameplay specificities; Glaz, Nomad, Buck, Montagne, Blitz, Caveira, Kali, Clash, Blackbeard, Lion, IQ, Tachanka, Recruit, Twitch and Mozzie are all disallowed.
Rainbow Six Siege: The Grand Larceny
Unlike the standard game mode there are no hostages, areas to secure, or bombs to defuse, while the preparation phase is skipped and the attacker doesn’t get their drone. The attackers goal is to snag the Safeboxes scattered across the map, while the defenders job is to keep that from happening. As is common, games can also be won be eliminating the enemy team.
Ubisoft have declared that, “players must be prepared for an amount of destruction never seen before in Rainbow Six Siege,” and the map features adjustments to flooring that will allow the shotguns to breach through the ceilings. The Grand Larceny Collection can be obtained by completing special Event Challenges, or by purchasing them in the Packs store. The Roaring Riches bundle will also be available to get during the event.
Rainbow Six Siege The Grand Larceny Event will run from 5th May until 19th May.
