Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games have shared more details about Remnant 2’s Ritualist archetype, essentially its newest playable class, which is set to be introduced in the title’s first DLC, The Awakened King.
Remnant 2’s Ritualist archetype uses status effects to dish out punishment in their quest for shiny new guns and trinkets to equip, bringing a new flavor of DPS to the third-person shooter’s roster of classes.

Their prime perk, named Vile, not only makes enemies more susceptible to status damage, but also spreads their statuses to nearby opponents upon death.
Eruption allows Remnant 2’s newest class to detonate nearby foes. Should any of them suffer from status effects, they’re dealt bonus damage.
Speaking of status effects, the Miasma ability instantly applies Bleeding, Burning, Overloaded, and Corroded to all enemies within range, promising powerful synergy with the previous two.
Remnant 2’s Ritualist archetype also handles healing a bit differently. Using Deathwish curses them, leading to constant health drain. At the same time, their damage is heavily increased while they also gain substantial lifesteal.
Whether you decide to try out the Ritualist or continue playing as Remnant 2’s other classes, The Awakened King DLC offers a good few reasons to return on November 14, including new items to collect and fearsome foes to face.
