Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games today unveiled Remnant 2: The Awakened King as the first DLC for their popular third-person shooter. Having received a mid-November release date, it introduces a new storyline, dungeons, and weapons, alongside The Ritualist as a new playable archetype.
Remnant 2: The Awakened King sees the world of Losomn growing bigger, housing a new area dotted with dungeons we’ve yet to explore. While making our way through it, we’ll uncover the story of The One True King, who has awakened with bloodlust burning in his veins.
Remnant 2: The Awakened King DLC
It’s all thanks to a classic case of Root corruption, which forces the mad king to see betrayal at every turn, fueling his desire for revenge.
As we use our trusty weapons to find a solution for this newfound problem and dispatch a fresh set of bosses and other nasty creatures, we’ll also encounter characters willing to help.
Remnant II: The Awakened King’s new playable archetype, The Ritualist, excels at using status effects to decimate foes.
The publisher has promised a deeper dive into its abilities closer to launch.
In addition, the DLC also allows us to add new weapons and mods to our arsenal while adding new amulets, rings, and other useful items for us to find.
Remnant II: The Awakened King has locked down its release date to November 14, 2023, when it becomes available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
Priced at 9,75 € or your regional equivalent, it is the first of three planned pieces of downloadable content that comprise the game’s DLC Bundle, which will set you back 24,50 €.
