Gear sets are important in Remnant: From The Ashes. Essentially themed armour pieces, gear sets dictate the type of passive bonus your character generates as you move along with your adventure. It’s obvious that you should get the one that best suits your playstyle.
Below, we’ve collected all of the gear sets available in Remnant, as well as providing you with directions and/or tips on how to get them.
Remnant: From the Ashes Gear Set List
Adventurer Gear Set
- Helm: +10% loot from breakable objects
- Tunic: +20% loot from breakable objects
- Leggings: +35% loot from breakable objects
You get the Adventurer armor at the very start of the game. No need to farm this one out, but keep in mind that the Helm isn’t currently attainable in the game, for whatever reason.

- Shroud: +7% weakspot damage on targets more than 15m away
- Trenchcoat: +15% weakspot damage on targets more than 15m away

Cultist Gear Set
- Hat: +25% more mod power on Crit
- Duster: +50% more mod power on Crit
- Britches: +75% more mod power on Crit

Drifter Gear Set
- Mask: -10% Stamina usage
- Overcoat: -20% Stamina usage
- Trousers: -35% Stamina usage
The Drifter armor is found in different places on Earth. The Mask, for example, is found as a random drop, while the Overcoat and the Trousers can be found behind the wooden bookshelf at Founder’s Hideout, just after leaving Ward 13.
Twisted Gear Set
- Mask: +0.15 Health Regen per second
- Hood: +0.15 Health Regen per second
- Cage: +0.238 Health Regen per second
- Tassets: +0.333 Health Regen per second
Our handy guide will help you find the Twisted Mask. The Hood is obtained from a Vendor on Earth, same as the Tassets and the Cage, but you’ll first need to complete the related random event.
Bandit Gear Set
- Mask: +10% chance to refund spent ammunition
- Jacket: +20% chance to refund spent ammunition
- Boots: +35% chance to refund spent ammunition
The only way to get the Bandit armor is to follow the method we’ve described in our guide. That will set you up with the full gear set.
Void Gear Set
- Skull: take damage from enemies to receive a +4% damage bonus for 13 seconds
- Carapace: take damage from enemies to receive a +8% damage bonus for 13 seconds
- Greaves: take damage from enemies to receive a +12% damage bonus for 13 seconds
The exoskeletal Void armor can be attained by completing the special Monolith puzzle on Rhom. You’ll get the full set there, but if you need more detailed instructions, we’ve got you covered.
Osseus Gear Set
- Helm: kill an enemy to get +7% damage bonus for 5 seconds
- Hulk: kill an enemy to get +15% damage bonus for 5 seconds
- Kilt: kill an enemy to get +25% damage bonus for 5 seconds
Buy the Osseus armor from Merchan Wud, in Rhom. Be sure to exhaust all his dialogue options to unlock the set.
Akari Gear Set
- Mask: +15% melee damage and crit chance
- Garb: +30% melee damage and crit chance
- Leggings: +50% melee damage and crit chance
The only way to get the Akari armor is to crack open the special Rhom vault with 3 Glowing Rods, more on which you can read in our guide. There’s only a chance for the Akari set to be inside said vault, so prepare for multiple runs if need be.
Slayer Gear Set
- Mask: reload your weapon to get +10% damage bonus to next attack
- Mantle: reload your weapon to get +20% damage bonus to next attack
- Boots: reload your weapon to get +35% damage bonus to next attack
Get the Guardian Heart and then give it to the Elf Queen on Corsus. The only way to get the Heart is to kill Ixillis, so get ready to get shooting. Note that you can also give the Guardian Heart to the Undying King instead, but doing so will lock you out of getting the Slayer armor.
Elder Gear Set
- Headdress: +10% chance not to consume Dragonheart when used
- Raiment: +20% chance not to consume Dragonheart when used
- Leggings: +30% chance not to consume Dragonheart when used
Finish the ‘Survive the Horde’ mission on Yaesha, then play dungeons on the same plane. There’s only a chance for the Elder set pieces to drop there.
Radiant Gear Set
- Visage: critical hits increase your crit chance and crit damage by +0.75% for 2 seconds, stacking up to 10 times
- Protector: critical hits increase your crit chance and crit damage by +1.5% for 2 seconds, stacking up to 10 times
- Greaves: critical hits increase your crit chance and crit damage by +2.5% for 2 seconds, stacking up to 10 times
The Radiant Visage helmet can be found only after you’ve already purchased the Protector and the Greaves off a random vendor with the Strange Curio in their cart, on Yaesha. When you have those two set pieces, search for a dungeon with the Big Golden Totem, use the Curio to get it open, and then deal with the boss encounter.
