The Resident Evil 2 Remake is out in a couple of days and shakes the original’s formula up quite significantly. Gone are the fixed cameras, while the visuals have received a massive improvement, as well. While the game will, no doubt, try to capture the atmosphere of the original, if you’re up for a nostalgia trip, you’ll also be able to get Resident Evil 2 Remake PS1 Costumes.
Leon and Claire classic PS1 skins will be available in the game for free to give them a PS1-era blocky low-polygon makeover, so here’s how to get them.
How to get Leon and Claire classic PS1 costumes in Resident Evil 2 Remake
Leon and Claire’s classic PS1 costumes will initially be part of a Japanese promotion starting on January 25, the Resident Evil 2 Launch Party event revealed, as spotted on ResetEra. The promotion involves purchasing special promotion items, such as PSN Point cards, in order to receive the costumes for free.
However, come March 23, Leon and Claire’s classic PS1 costumes will be made free for everyone.
While no platforms were specified, we’re keeping our fingers crossed in hopes that “everyone” includes PC as well. And yes, these are Leon and Claire’s classic PS1 costumes, blocky shapes and all, not the updated models that are already unlockable in-game.
