Ring of Elysium is getting a major new game mode with the upcoming release of Ring of Elysium Night Mode, but up until now, we didn't really know what exactly would it entail, short of bringing in a more hardcore style of play.
Ring of Elysium Night Mode Trailer has just been released, and along with it, we've received an interesting press release providing us with crucial information on how this sort of gameplay is going to differ from the core ROE experience.
ROE Night Mode is set to introduce an even more intense type of gameplay to the popular PUBG contender. Night Mode is going to make for a more claustrophobic and tense experience, due to the fact that the map will be no bigger than one-quarter of the standard ROE level.
Additionally, ROE night is going to be bringing with it an even more extreme sort of weather, and an increased risk of hypothermia. The new body temperature system will force players to always be on the lookout for bonfires and other assorted sources of warmth, as well as for food to munch on the go.
When playing Night Mode, players will also have a different win state than is usual for battle royale titles. The match time will be fixed, and whoever remains standing by the time the sun rises is automatically added to the list of winners. Lots of other tweaks to the basic gameplay formula of ROE are coming, too, and we're one announcement away from a proper release.
Stay tuned!
