Publisher Nacon and developer Teyon today revealed a new gameplay trailer for upcoming first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City, giving us a better look at the game’s version of Old Detroit alongside glimpses at the protagonist’s iconic machine pistol and some of the enemies we’ll face.
Based on the original movie, RoboCop: Rogue City picks up as a crime wave is sweeping across the city. Players take control of Alex Murphy, a cop turned into a deadly cyborg after sustaining life-threatening injuries, setting off to reestablish order.
RoboCop: Rogue City Gameplay
The gameplay trailer starts off by showing the city’s dark atmosphere before focusing on just how lethal its protagonist is.
Murphy can get his point across by wielding the deadly Auto 9 machine pistol – iconic green crosshair included – violently shoving objects in the environment towards foes, grabbing, punching, or throwing them through the air.
The trailer also confirms that we’ll go toe to toe with at least one hulking ED-209 – a welcome neat treat for fans of the movie.
RoboCop: Rogue City complements intense action with exploration sequences and multiple-choice dialogs, but they sadly weren’t featured in its gameplay trailer.
RoboCop: Rogue City is currently expected to launch at some point in June 2023, when it arrives on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
