Publisher Slitherine and developer CreativeForge Games today announced that they have joined forces to create a new Warsaw-based development studio. Named Slitherine Poland, it will work on both original IP and licensed products.
The two companies had already been working together since 2020 on the upcoming real-time tactics game Stargate: Timekeepers and Roman chariot racing simulator Ancient Arenas: Chariots.
Slitherine Poland is handling development of both titles, with more projects to be announced in the future. The studio employs both developers who were already working on the two projects as well as new hires. It is also looking to expand over the coming months.
“Most of our development efforts are done through existing third-party partners,” said Iain McNeil, Slitherine CEO. “Opening a new internal development studio is a big step in the direction of having full control over key projects, but it’s also an investment in people, and in a country that is thriving and has the professional ability to deliver high-quality products for a competitive market.”
“The aim of Slitherine Poland is to combine the development skills of Creative Forge and the development and publishing experience of Slitherine,” said Piotr Karbowski, CreativeForge Games CEO. “It is also a fundamental step in the direction of increasing the team’s focus entirely on the production of the games and leaving all other tasks to Slitherine.”
Neither Stargate: Timekeepers nor Ancient Arenas: Chariots has locked down its release date yet, but we’ll hopefully hear more about them soon.
