Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the new hope for Star Wars videogame fans after multiple cancellations and Disney seemingly being fine with it. The good news is that not only is it coming this year, the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order reveal will be coming very soon - and according to EA, we will be "blown away" by it.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson has seen and played the game, and also calls it "exceptional" and "plays spectacularly well." Exciting stuff, so hopefully the game will live up to this praise. You can read his full comments below, including when we can expect to see the game get revealed properly.
These details and comments came from EA's quarterly earnings call, where CEO Andrew Wilson brought up the game several times as one of EA's big announced games for this year.
While Respawn Entertainment has Apex Legends to worry about right now, their Star Wars title is being developed by a different team to the FPS side, lead by the former director of the God of War series - that'll be Stig Asmussen, director of God of War 3. Wilson had this to say about Jedi Fallen Order, which he has apparently played:
"It’s very far along in development, and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well. This game truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi... it is exceptional in terms of its like level of polish, depth, and what living inside of the Star Wars world is as a Jedi and I think people will be blown away by it."
Wilson also confirms, excitingly, that the game will be revealed "soon":
"You'll start to see in the next few months glimpses of the Star Wars game and I think you'll be blown away by what you see... we will have a lot more to share soon."
We can't wait. Help us Respawn Entertainment, you're our only hope.
