You may have received an error message saying that Steam couldn’t log you in if you’ve tried to access your account today, or that it could not connect to the Steam network. Steam Maintenance - Could Not Connect to the Steam Network
The Steam servers are online at the moment. Everything seems to be in perfect order, so you should be able to log in and play your favorite games. That might, however, change when the next sale or maintenance period starts
The Steam Open World Sale 2021 is expected to begin later today and, if past sales are any proof, you might have a hard time navigating Steam during its first couple of hours.
In case Steam’s Could not connect to the Steam network persists, it’s a good idea to check your internet connection and make sure that your firewall is not blocking the software.
Should the issue occur when there’s no sale or maintenance, create a shortcut of Steam.exe, right-click it, select Properties, then add -tcp at the end of the Target field. This is not a universal fix, but has helped some users in the past.
