Farthest Frontier doesn’t have official modding support yet, although developer Crate Entertainment has made comments about it having support in the future, at the moment the team is busy putting together a content roadmap that will lead the game to its full launch.
Could Farthest Frontier feature Steam workshop support in the future? It’s a real possibility, but for now, let’s hope that the talented modding community can unpack the Unity engine that Farthest Frontier uses.
Farthest Frontier Mods
There are only a couple of mods that have been released for Farthest Frontier, both using the Melonloader tool to safely install the files and add them to the game. So far we’ve found an animal spawner and camera mod that adds better viewpoints, which should come in handy.
Keep checking back for updates as we’ll keep searching, so let’s go over what we’ve found and how they can be used.
Farthest Frontier Extended Camera Mod
Created by: topeveryday
Topeveryday was bothered by the limitations in the game, so wanted to extend the options and offer a better camera zoom. The results are certainly an improvement, you can now zoom out very far for a better overview of the settlement you’ve built and for scanning the surrounding area of your location. You can download it here.
Farthest Frontier Animal Spawner Mod
Created by: Paboyafx
Paboyafx has created this Animal Spawner Mod to help you spawn Deers, Boars, Wolves, and Bears. It’s recommended that you build a hutch or an enclosed space for them using walls before you spawn them in, just in case they escape of course! Handy if you’re running out of food for your growing populations. You can download it here.
Farthest Frontier Mineral Spawner Mod
Created by: Paboyafx
Paboyafx brings out another important mod for the community, this time it allows you to spawn in mineral sites like gold, iron, and coal, along with sand and clay pits. If you’re constantly running out of these essential resources in the end game, this is the mod for you, but it only works with version 0.7.4 installed and the MelonLoader. Download it here.
h3>Farthest Frontier Move Resource Mod</h3>
Created by: Paboyafx
Spawn forageable resources such as berries, bushes, eggs, and roots, as well as stones and trees, directly under your mouse cursor. Perfect as a quick cheat if you’re lacking a certain resource.
