The Outer Worlds is one of the best RPGs of its year, and it’s based entirely around choice and consequence - it’s even possible to tank your reputation so hard entire planets will hate you. But are there any The Outer Worlds romance options?
Most RPGs with choice and consequence have some form of romance options or romanceable characters - no matter what gender your character is - such as Mass Effect or The Witcher. Though can you date companions in The Outer Worlds or are there no romance options at all?
The Outer Worlds Romance Options?
There are a total of six companions to be found in The Outer Worlds, starting with the sweet engineer Parvati and the tough pirate gal Ellie, and you’ll get to know all of them pretty well throughout the game - if you want to, of course. It’s just as possible to ignore them all and play the whole game solo.
Are there any romance options in The Outer Worlds for players looking for love? Sadly, the answer is no. Developer Obsidian isn’t a fan of romancing characters in games, so it’s impossible to date any of the characters in The Outer Worlds - companions or not.
However, it is possible to get one of your companions a date! If you bring Parvati along with you to the Groundbreaker ship to meet captain/engineer Junlei Tennyson, you will be able to arrange a romance between the two. It’ll be a budding romance that has its ups and downs, but you can steer Parvati towards love - just not with you, unfortunately!
