Those Who Remain is one of the most promising upcoming first-person horror titles, and it’s slated to receive a major showcase come this year’s Gamescom. For the time being, however, we’ll have to make do with the new trailer.
The trailer doesn’t show much gameplay, but it does set the atmosphere quite well, as well as giving us a taste of what’s to come before the end of the year, when the game is supposed to be coming out.
Shadowy figures prowling in the darkness, psychologically-troubling events that the protagonist can’t resolve, mysterious disappearances taking place in a remote town - Those Who Remain has got it all. It does remain to be seen where exactly the developers, Camel 101, wish to take the story, but we’ve got high hopes.
For the time being, there’s not much else to say about the game that’s not already be said, so watch the trailer below, and stay tuned for whatever info comes out as part of Those Who Remain’s Gamescom presentation and gameplay demo.
