Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly today unveiled Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade as the next DLC for their acclaimed fantasy grand strategy title. The title’s release date is scheduled for next month.
Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade introduces two new Legendary Lords – Malus Darkblade and Deathmaster Snikch – that helm the new Hag Graef and Clan Enshin factions respectively.
Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade DLC Release Date
When Malus facilitates the escape of Tz’arkan, the Drinker of Worlds from the Realm of Chaos, Snikch is sent to investigate. Needless to say, both end up leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade promises to pit the two Lords against each other in “a unique and intertwined campaign”, and will expand upon the existing roster of units. Here’s a brief overview of what’s coming in December:
Shadow and Blade:
- 2 playable factions – Clan Eshin (Skaven) and Hag Graef (Dark Elves)
- 2 legendary lords – Death Master Snikch, Malus Darkblade
- 12 units; Highbeast Master, Bloodwrack Medusa, Master Assassins, Eshin Triads and more.
- Lore of Stealth (Skaven)
Free Content Update:
- Legendary lord – Repanse de Lyonesse (Bretonnia)
- Legendary hero – Henri Le Massif (Bretonnia)
Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade will also come with quality of life improvements that target enemy turn time duration.
“Players can now expect to see up to a 60% decrease in wait times between turns”, publisher Sega said in a press release, although not without noting that “this will be dependent on their current game state and PC specifications”.
Total War: Warhammer II - The Shadow & The Blade’s release date is set on December 12. The DLC will be priced at £6.99/$8.99/€8.99. Check out the two factions battling each other in the trailer below.
