Valorant’s “Unknown error occured” issue first emerged during the shooter’s closed beta and has stuck around even after the game’s full launch, often being a source of frustration for players who’re simply trying to play a few matches.
For anyone still encountering Valorant’s Unknown error occured issue, its vague text makes pinpointing a cause rather tricky.
Most reports see players bumping into the Valorant’s “Unknown error occurred” issue upon attempting to log in and play a session of Riot’s recently released competitive FPS.
Valorant Unknown Error Occurred
Although Riot’s support article covering Valorant Error Codes doesn’t mention the “Unknown error occured” issue anywhere, it would see that it pops up when Riot’s servers are ecountering some sort of difficulties.
Other players also report being disconnected during a match and receiving the “Unknown error occurred” message.
In all cases, the issue resolved itself after a while, suggesting that it’s likely tied to Valorant’s servers. While unexpected issues can definitely be the cause, it’s always worth checking the Valorant Server Status to make sure no maintenance is ongoing when you’re having trouble playing.
This, obviously, means that there’s little for players to do when encountering Valorant’s “Unknown error occurred” message aside from simply waiting.
