Victoria 3’s post-launch support is set to bring further improvements to Paradox’s grand strategy game following the launch of its first DLC. Whether you’re looking forward to a new playthrough or are in the middle of one, chances are that you’re curious about when patch 1.4’s release date could occur.
The developer has yet to commit to a fixed schedule for Victoria 3 updates, which makes it rather difficult to say when exactly patch 1.4 release date will happen, at least prior to an official announcement.
Victoria 3 Patch 1.4 Release Date
The first major post-launch update went live two months after Victoria 3’s launch, in December 2022. We then got patch 1.2 in mid-March 2023, with patch 1.3 dropping in the second half of May.
If updates were to keep the same cadence, we would see the next one in July/August. This period, however, is when activity slows down for the summer holiday. Unless things drastically change, it’s likely that we’ll have to wait longer.

In a developer diary from May, it was confirmed that, although the game’s first major expansion isn’t expected until early 2024, we are getting another major free update before 2023 concludes.
While we do have the first details about when we can expect Victoria 3’s patch 1.4 release date to occur, the content it introduces hasn’t been detailed just yet.
