This is shaping to be a busy week for Blizzard. Aside from having Blizzcon 2019 coming up this weekend, the Warcraft III: Reforged multiplayer beta is also scheduled to kick off this week.
Having kept a relatively low profile since its announcement, Warcraft III: Reforged will soon give players a first taste of its modern reimagining of the RTS classic in its multiplayer beta.
Warcraft III: Reforged Multiplayer Beta
Warcraft III: Reforged multiplayer beta access will first be given to those players who’ve pre-ordered the game’s Spoils of War Edition. Invitations will then be sent out in waves over the coming weeks, including more and more players.
At launch, the Warcraft III: Reforged multiplayer will feature the Orc and Human factions, alongside support for 1v1 and 2v2 matchmaking. The weeks to follow will introduce the Undead and Night Elf factions, completing the roster, alongside “more game modes”.
Warcraft III: Reforged aims to be a “top to bottom upgrade” of the 2002 RTS classic that looks to rekindle the nostalgic flame in veterans but also introduce newcomers to one of the genre’s staples. Until the wait for a multiplayer beta invite ends, check out the new Human and Orc unit models.
