After teasing it earlier in October, publisher Slitherine has now revealed that Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War’s next DLC will introduce the Craftworld Aeldari as a new playable race.
The Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Craftworld Aeldari DLC comes with 19 new units alongside new mechanics that make the new race stand out among its peers.
Mobility is the name of the game with the Craftworld Aeldari, who can use Webway Gates to quickly move around the map. Furthermore, they can found cities on top of existing gates to establish their presence on the planet.

To counter their reduced growth rate that reflects their history, the Craftworld Aeldari can call upon offworld Asuryani reinforcements to provide a temporarily boost.
They also gain increased accuracy when fighting Chaos forces while taking additional damage from them.
The faction excels when fighting at range but also has melee solutions when opponents manage to get close. Here are the 19 units that the DLC adds:
- Autarch - Psyker hero unit that leads the Aeldari charge
- Avatar of Khaine - Unique monstrous creature that murders enemies in close combat and sends nearby Aeldari into a merciless rage
- Crimson Hunter - Flying unit that can surgically remove even the most armoured targets
- Farseer Skyrunner - Fast jetbike psyker hero unit that debilitates enemies and restores morale
- Fire Dragons - Heavy infantry unit that excels at engaging heavy targets in close range
- Fire Prism - Versatile skimmer unit that can cycle its guns and link them with other Fire Prisms
- Guardians - Quick basic infantry unit
- Hemlock Wraithfighter - Devastating flying unit that can both protect allies and stun enemies
- Howling Banshees - Agile and terrifying close combat infantry unit
- Ranger - Stealth infantry unit that excels at taking out enemy infantry
- Scorpion - Super-heavy skimmer unit that is unstoppable when on the move
- Shining Spears - Expert skirmisher jetbike unit
- Spiritseer - Psyker hero unit that can choose to channel his abilities in two ways: either to protect or to destroy
- Vaul’s Wrath Support Battery - Artillery unit that excells against slow targets
- War Walkers - Well-balanced and well-equipped walker unit
- Wave Serpent - Skimmer transport unit that can sacrifice armour to finish off targets
- Webway Gate - Fortification unit that allows the Aeldari to travel from one place to another
- Wraithblades - Close combat infantry unit equipped with powerful ghost weapons
- Wraithknight - Gargantuan monstrous creature that blasts its foes from range and blinds anyone who manages to get close
