Concluding what has been an exceptional year for cRPG enthusiasts, the voyage of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is just commencing. Following its launch, a succession of updates – both major and minor – were rolled out. These will be diligently documented in our patch notes timeline article.
Developer Owlcat Games will more than likely continue adding to Rogue Trader’s patch notes timeline over the coming months, as it works to further polish the cRPG while responding to fan feedback and preparing for the launch of planned DLC.

Release Date: January 19, 2024
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s hotfix 1.0.98 addresses a series of issues related to adding items to inventory in Act 3, while also adding sounds when moving packs of items in the loot window.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Patch 1.0.97
Release Date: January 18, 2024
Patch 1.0.97 contributes to the ongoing efforts of removing progression-blocking bugs, squashing one that could pop up during act 5, while also ensuring that the Death World’s Survival Instinct feature applies its dodge and armor bonuses correctly.
Companions should no longer lose their convictions in new games, while cargo sorting is now available in the vendor interface. A plethora of other abilities and bug fixes have also been pushed to the game’s live version, making exploring the Koronus expanse a bit smoother.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Patch 1.0.93
Release Date: January 12, 2024
Patch 1.0.93 contributes to the ongoing efforts of removing progression-blocking bugs while also fixing several abilities that weren’t working correctly.
Several crashes have also been addressed. Furthermore, conversations should no longer refuse to start after the second arena encounter during Act 3 or get stuck while working on completing Marazhai’s quest.
Plasma weapon wielders will now take damage from explosions caused by their weapon, while the Grenadier’s cloak should no longer cause grenades to not deal damage.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Hotfix 1.0.89
Release Date: December 29, 2023
Hotfix 1.0.89 is the final addition to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s 2023 patch notes timeline, fixing several issues that would stop the Lord Captain from properly talking to companions on the bridge and in various other encounters.
The High Factotum will no longer summon requests to talk about Jae if you’ve never recruited her. Additionally, the Lord Captain should no longer occasionally ride an invisible throne, preventing certain cutscenes from starting.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Patch 1.0.88
Release Date: December 28, 2023
Rogue Trader’s third major patch introduced fixes for “a vast majority of broken quests and cutscenes that blocked progression or worked only for specific choices,” making it a more than welcome addition as 2023 draws to a close.
We should also see fewer desyncs in co-op, while conviction, reputation, and skill check values have been updated.
In addition, the game’s console version has received optimization improvements, while the final encounter should no longer lag as much as it previously did.
Act 4 vendors are now stocking a few new items as multiple talents have received fixes to ensure that they work as intended.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Hotfix 1.0.81
Release Date: December 24, 2023
Hotfix 1.0.81 solves the issue of the High Factotum occasionally going missing from the voidship bridge, while addressing several instances in whcih Ulfar’s personal quest failed to trigger.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Patch 1.0.78
Release Date: December 21, 2023
Rogue Trader’s second major patch launches just in time for the holidays, introducing fixes for a handful of issues related to quests and cutscenes issues in this patch.
Update 1.0.78 also makes it so that switching controls from mouse and keyboard to controller or vice versa while in a multiplayer lobby no longer takes you back to the main menu.
Characters should no longer start turns with fewer action points than their maximum, while a bug causing a lategame Drukhari attack to trigger sooner than intended has been squashed, removing the possibility of encountering that impossible combat encounter.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Hotfix 1.0.73
Release Date: December 19, 2023
Hotfix 1.0.73 counts among the smaller updates on our timeline, preventing Yrliet’s cutscene at the beginning of Chapter III from breaking.
Jae’s personal quest should also no longer break upon reaching chapter 4, while the Seize the Initiative talent should no longer endlessly loop.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Hotfix 1.0.71
Release Date: December 18, 2023
Hotfix 1.0.71 addresses a few bugs tied to the game’s story. In addition, it also convinces the High Factotum to cease trying out his spontaneous invisibility powers when on the bridge, which could result in a failure to trigger certain cutscenes.

This hotfix tackles an issue that could see cutscenes not starting for Dogmatic and Iconoclast Lord Captains when starting Act IV.

Rogue Trader’s first hotfix brings a fix for one of Heinrix’s dialogues in Chapter 1. It also addresses a problem with the Lord Captain’s quarters exit icon.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Patch 1.0.1
Release Date: December 14, 2023
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s first major update targets a series of important issues following the cRPG’s launch, removing bugs that would cause font size options alongside camera rotation and movement speed resetting to 0.
When playing in multiplayer, the host automatically shares their DLC with anyone who joins. Several instances of co-op desyncs have also been addressed.
Cassia’s face should now be less prone to mutating horribly, while Daemonic teleportation has appropriately received a sound effect of its own.
