Close Combat: The Bloody First is nearing its inevitable release, and so the developers, Matrix Games, have started to release more of its promotional content for us to peruse.
Close Combat: The Bloody First trailer marks the beginning of more concrete promotional efforts, and while it does lean quite heavily on its stylistic qualities instead of being on the informative side of things, it is rather neat.
Powered by the snazzy 3D Archon engine, Close Combat: The Bloody First is looking to be the most technically impressive Close Combat game ever made. With a wide variety of fully three-dimensional maps and environments, realistic animations, projectile physics, and lots more, there's no doubt that Matrix Games' next game will be quite a blast.
If you're a big fan of their previous work, you can sign up for a beta testing period of Close Combat: The Bloody First already - on their official website. Though, do keep in mind that there's no assurance that you'll actually get in, of course.
The Bloody First will boast a veritable boatload of content on launch: 1 Grand Campaign, 3 Theatre Campaigns, 11 Operations, and 36 Battles will all be fought using over 50 vehicles, 300+ infantry units, and hundreds of items of equipment, some of which has only rarely ever been seen in games. Be sure to watch the trailer below and let us know what you think.
