World of Warcraft: Dragonflight was in many ways a return to form for Blizzard’s MMORPG and patch 10.2.7’s release date brings with it the final batch of content scheduled for the expansion.
As revealed in the game’s roadmap for the year, WoW: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.7, titled Dark Heart, gives us more things to do in the final stretch before The War Within begins while also introducing the long-awaited Troll and Draenei heritage armor sets.

Blizzard has yet to provide us with a firm release date for WoW: Dragonflight patch 10.2.7. We do, however, know that, as long as plans do not change, the update is expected to launch at some point in late spring 2024.

In terms of content, a feature initially labeled as Timerunning: Pandaemonium leads the list. Although information about it was scarce for a while, Blizzard has confirmed its official name, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria.
It is, in fact, another experimental limited-time event – following patch 10.2.6’s Plunderstorm – that allows players to experience the game’s older expansion at an accelerated pace.
Harbinger quests are also slated to become available in WoW: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.7.
Once it goes live, troll and draenei players will finally be able to hunt down heritage armor for the two races through a dedicated series of quests that explores their past.
The final piece of content unveiled so far is a new holiday event although specific details have yet to be shared.
While smaller patches don’t always shake things up balance-wise, hunters are getting a set of updates to their pet stables, as revealed in the PTR patch notes.
Pets can now be renamed and released from the stable, those summoned using the Beast Mastery specialization’s Animal Companion talent have a dedicated slot next to the active pet list, while the pet preview window is now larger.
Blizzard will likely reveal more about World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.7, its release date, and content over the coming months.
As we leave the Dragon Isles behind, we’re hoping that The War Within’s post-launch support will be at least as good.
