World of Warcraft’s patch 11.1 was unveiled during the series 30th anniversary livestream, when Blizzard announced that the next chapter of The War Within expansion sees us exploring the goblin trade capital of Undermine.
Slated to release at some point in early 2025 and appropriately titled Undermined, the update introduces a slew of familiar content additions, like a new dungeon and raid, alongside a very speedy surprise.

As we arrive in the city, we’ll find it embroiled in conflict, with the four major goblin cartels – Steamwheedle, Blackwater, Bligewater, and Venture Co. – duking it out to gain the upper hand.
We’ll be able to join one of them while gaining a “blinged-out ride” that acts as our main method of traversal throughout Undermine.
While it might sound like World of Warcraft’s patch 11.1 gives us yet another mount to add to our collection, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Aside from its badass look, the car “travels much, much faster than [our] regular ground mounts,” as Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas notes.
Furthermore, we’ll be able to customize the vehicle through options such as enhancing its grip, drifting capabilities, or sacrificing top speed for acceleration.
WoW’s Undermined 11.1 update also introduces a new dungeon called Operation: Floodgate, which revolves around our efforts of stopping a group of goblins from doing what they do best and blowing up a dam.
It joins The War Within’s Season 2 dungeon pool, which also includes the four other launch dungeons as well as three legacy dungeons, one of which is Battle for Azeroth’s goblin-themed Operation: Motherlode.
That’s not it for PvE enthusiasts, as two new Delves and “variations” of existing ones are also planned. Brann Bronzebeard will also receive a set of updates, a new adversary will make themselves known, while a new set of goblin-inspired curios will be introduced.
WoW’s patch 11.1 also brings us the new Liberation of Undermine raid, which features eight bosses, including Gallywix himself.
Lastly, PvP fans can show off their skills in a brand new arena map set in the capital city, while the Warbands UI is getting an update for camp collections.
More details regarding World of Warcraft’s patch 11.1, including its release date, will be shared over the coming months.
In other franchise news, Warcraft III: Reforged has received a 2.0 overhaul, while the first two games in the series have been remastered.
