Blizzard has revealed WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria as the second experimental limited-time mode coming to its popular MMORPG this year
Available to everyone with an active World of Warcraft subscription, the event lets us relive the entirety of the Mists of Pandaria expansion while leveling at an accelerated pace, collecting overhauled loot, and adding new transmogs to our collection so we won’t lack style when The War Within launches.
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria Release Date
Launching alongside patch 10.2.7, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria throws us right into the action starting at level 10 in the Jade Forest, where we can tackle the zone’s story, four dungeons, and more.
As we set our sights on level 70 and collect experience, additional areas become available, culminating with the Siege of Orgrimmar raid, where we face Garrosh Hellscream once more. Maximum-level characters can then tackle the Heroic variants of the expansion’s raids.
Taking part in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria requires creating new characters dedicated to the mode. Once the limited-time event goes away, these characters join your regular modern World of Warcraft roster.
If you’re on the fence about purchasing a subscription for the mode, trial characters can also give it a shot until they reach level 20.
Powerful loot is rewarded for completing quests, chests, creatures, bosses, and more. The mode’s customizable gear comes with spell gem sockets that promise “exciting turbo-charged new effects similar to trinkets.”
In addition, we can also obtain the Cloak of Infinite Potential, an Artifact whose power increases as we play, being shared among all the characters created for Remix.
While the Auction House won’t be available, items can be converted to Bronze, a currency that lets us purchase various goodies from bazaars.
Although the overhauled gear won’t carry over into the next expansion, all earned transmogs will. Completing special achievements while the limited-time event is live can help us unlock new cosmetic gear alongside titles, “previously unreleased color variants of older mounts,” and more.
Blizzard has yet to specify when WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria might become available, but patch 10.2.7 is expected in late spring 2024.
