The World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion is in full swing, although Blizzard has sent out an alert to inform players that a forthcoming maintenance schedule is set for tomorrow at 3am CEST. This downtime will affect Dragonflight, Wrath of the Lich King, and classic realms.
This article aims to keep track of WoW’s Server Status so you know when you won’t be able to explore the Dragon Isles or any other of the realms added in the game’s lengthy history. Weekly maintenance is required so Blizzard can ensure that the servers run smoothly, but unexpected issues can occur, taking the game offline or causing dreaded login queues.
World of Warcraft Server Status Updates
- Current Server Status - offline tomorrow, the 17th May, for a few hours
The World of Warcraft servers are currently online, although Blizzard will be taking them offline tomorrow, 17th May, for a period of time to perform maintenance. Lag and login queues are usually expected around the launch of major updates.
For the European region, the WoW Classic and retail servers will be unavailable on May 17, between 3 AM CEST and 4 AM CEST. WotLK Classic will be down for longer on the same day, between 3AM and 7 am CEST.
Over on the North American side of things, the WoW Classic and retail servers will be available as normal.
We’ll keep you alerted on the World of Warcraft server status to keep you updated on when you’ll have to take a break from adventuring through both the Shadowlands and Azeroth, but it’s a good idea to also keep track of the official US and EU maintenance pages.
