Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan may end up releasing in new territories later this month.
An advertisement for the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan was spotted by a PC Xbox App user in the United States, potentially suggesting that Microsoft is ready to conclude its pilot program and make it available to a broader audience.
Currently, the plan is only available in Colombia and the Republic of Ireland. For the price of 49,900 COP or 21.99 euros, users can invite up to four friends and family members to share the benefits of the Game Pass Ultimate subscription tier.
Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan is also available on PC but does come with a few limitations. For starters, the primary account holder can only share their membership with users in their country. A maximum of eight people can join a user’s group per year.
As spotted by Idle Sloth on Twitter, the advertisement appears on the front page of the US version of the PC Xbox App. It’s as general as it gets, from what we can tell, but more information could be coming later this month.
Microsoft is planning to host an Xbox Developer Direct showcase on January 25, which could be when it will reveal more details about the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan’s future.

We can only speculate at the moment, but this could involve a seemingly impending US release and, with a bit of luck, we might also see it becoming available for users in other European countries.
Games like Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Elder Scrolls Online, and Minecraft Legends will be featured during the event.
Xbox and PC Game Pass have made a serious splash thanks to their rather impressive library of bigger and smaller games, which players have access to for a low price.
