Berlin-based developer Yager has announced that it has received a strategic minority investment from Tencent.
The undisclosed sum invested by Tencent will go towards strenghtening “development and publishing activities for their current title The Cycle and upcoming projects.”

The Spec Ops: The Line developer will retain its independence, corporate structure and leadership following the investment.

“We’re confident that this will greatly enhance the scope of our business, not just by getting access to Tencent’s network and resources but by tapping the vast industry know-how Tencent possesses.”
Yager is currently working on The Cycle, a free-to-play multiplayer shooter available exclusively on the Epic Games Store, as well as a number of other unannounced projects.
