Dark Metamorphosis expansion for Defiance continues canceled TV series storyline
Trion Worlds has announced that they have launched a new content update called Dark Metamorphosis, which carries on the storyline from the SyFy television series that was canceled after three seasons last October. The content adds a brand-new zone in the seaside town of Monterrey, including a new mission storyline, new enemies, new armour and more.

Defiance takes a trip to Alcatraz in latest update
As we all know, 1996 action film The Rock is the peak of human creation. Mostly because it contains both Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery, but also slightly because Alcatraz Prison is the best setting ever. Now sci-fi MMO Defiance is trying to get in on the act, with the game's major new Alcatraz update relocating the alien shooting and looting to the infamous island just off the coast of San Francisco.
MMO shooter Defiance is now free-to-play on PC
Defiance, the MMO shooter based on the sci-fi TV series, is now available as a free-to-play game on PC. The date coincides with the Season Two premiere of the game’s crossover television series on the SyFy channel. Developer Trion announced the change of model last month. New players or returning ones can battle through the entire BayArea storyline, as well as the new 'Stahma’s Interests' story missions.
Defiance MMO will go free-to-play in June
Trion Worlds announced yesterday that their Defiance MMO shooter will go free-to-play in June. A video game companion to the SyFy television series, Defiance previously offered a free trial and then required a one-time purchase price. It will change to the new model on June 4.
