Bethesda has announced on the official blog that players may opt to try out the beta version of the 1.4 patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam. The developer warns that since it’s a beta, it may cause problems for some PCs.
To install the beta patch:
1. Log into Steam
-
Click on Steam in the upper menu
-
Select Settings
-
Under the Account tab, go to the Beta Participation section and select Change.

Steam will now restart. After Steam restarts, Skyrim will be updated to the Beta version currently available.
