Koji Igarashi started a Kickstarter in May of last year, asking for funds to build somewhat of a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, known as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The campaign turned out to be one of the most successful video game campaigns ever. Now, Igarashi is asking for player input on a character and background design for the game.
The latest update was made today on Bloodstained’s Kickstarter page where Igarashi posted four sets of images, each hosted a slight difference. Igarashi asked players to observe these images and weigh in on which they think would look best in the game before the team decides to continue onto the next phases of the game.
”we’ve compiled a few options of these background and character shaders put together,” Igarashi explains. ”And would like to see what you think. And, as I’ve pointed out in the latest Ask IGA, this will be our final request for art-direction feedback. I’d like to ask for any final thoughts you have now, so we can move forward and start putting things in motion.
Each of the images is available in high resolution from the Kickstarter update. Just click through the images to see them in full form. If you have a preference, you can voice your opinion through this survey.
