Getting back into the swing of things, Epic Games are promising to follow with their 2017 pattern of releasing a new Paragon hero in a somewhat timely fashion.
"Mostly every 3 weeks" is the time-frame they're aiming for. With the massive Monolith update throwing a little wrench into their schedule with the turn of the new year, they're dealing well with the release of Seraph, Aurora, and now, Shinbi.
And yes, she's another melee Assassin type before you ask - but with wolves! Admitting they've released a tad too many of those in recent months without a piece of that developer love flung directly into the path of a new Ranged hero, they promise to make things right before long. Just sit tight for now.
Eight Months Later Our Paragon Preview Still Counts - With Or Without The Monolith Update
Potentially enticing the Asian playbases to spend their hard-earning cash on a character a little more in-line with their pop culture, Shinbi's intro video paints her as a scantly-clad brawler ready to tease with an energetic song and dance apparently handled by Hyuna - an increasingly popular young Korean musician. And there's already a lengthy forum post calling for her to go back to the drawing board!
There's little to say other than that right now, with even the Paragon website not listing her under their currently announced and/or upcoming heroes. We can see a glimpse of her powers through the video alone, but it isn't a whole to lot to go right now. Hopefully we'll know a little more by her February 21 release. Looking further into the future, there's a new match-making system in the works with new game modes and a spruced up card system already in the design phase.
