Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is a proper Metroidvania through-and-through, which necessarily means an abundance of skills and abilities to unlock. A staple skill of this type is, without doubt, the double jump ability!
Double jump in Bloodstained is precisely what you'd expect it to be - a great boon when it comes to mobility, be it in combat or exploration, and an absolute must if you ever wish to progress through the game properly. So how do you unlock double jump in Bloodstained?
How to get Double Jump in Bloodstained?
To get the bad news out of the way right off the bat - double jump isn't an early-game unlock in Bloodstained. It will definitely take you a few hours until you can even access the area, and it is locked behind a moderately challenging boss encounter - something you definitely want to keep in mind moving forward.
As the handy map showcases above, you want to make your way to the Livre Ex Machine level, and then reach the room located to the upper right corner of the level, as denotated by a small red circle. This is where the double-jump boss can be found.
We would advise you to come packing blunt, piercing, and/or lightning damage, which are its weaknesses, as well as plenty of food to keep yourself topped off, because they are a very mobile critter. When the boss is down, you'll be awarded with the Double Jump Shard, which does precisely what it says on the tin.
