Transmog stones change the looks of a given piece of equipment to another piece of your choice, without consuming the equipment you’re transmogging to. You can transmog an items as many times as you want, provided you’ve enough transmog stones. It’s worth keeping in mind that you’ll have to spend currency to change the look of an item even if you’ve already given it the chosen look at some point in the past.
Transmog stones are not required for cosmetic skins purchased from the market or earned from Dauntless supporter packs, just like removing an item’s transmog doesn’t use the currency.
