Psyonix is gearing up for the start of the Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2020 event which goes live later today, bringing with it limited-time modes alongside Ghostbusters-themed items for players to unlock and purchase.
Kicking off at 9 AM PDT/5 PM BST and lasting for two weeks, Rocket League’s Halloween event 2020 will feature the Haunted Heatseeker and Spike Rush limited-time modes.
If their names sound familiar, that’s because they’re, essentially, existing modes that have received a Halloween twist.
Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2020 Event
Between October 20 and October 26, players will get a chance to try out Heatseeker once more, albeit in a new Haunted Urban Arena, while Spike Rush – available between October 26 and November 2 – will take place on night variants of existing maps.
The Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2020 event comes with its own set of specific challenges that, when completed, reward players with the following items:
- Ghostbusters Avatar Border
- GhostBusters Player Banner
- Ghostbusters Wheels
- Stay Puft Topper
- Stay Puft Wheels
- Ectoplasm Boost
- Mood Slime Boost
- Ghost Trap Topper
- Slimer Topper
- Ecto-1 Player Banner
If you don’t happen to be a Ghostbusters fan or simply aren’t into spooky things, completing event challenges is still worth it, as they can yield Golden Pumpkins which contains items from the game’s Turbo, Nitro, and Vindicator Series.
The Rocket League Halloween 2020 event will also refresh the vehicular soccer game’s item shop. Players will once again be able to purchase the Ecto-1 licensed DLC car and other goodies. Here are the dates between which you’ll find them in the store:
- Ecto-1 Car - October 21 - October 22
- Stay Puft Goal Explosion - October 23 - October 24
- Ectoplasm Decal (Universal) - October 25 - October 26
- Demon Disc Wheels (Titanium White) - October 25 - October 26
- Vampire Bats Goal Explosion - October 27 - October 28
- Reaper Goal Explosion (Crimson) - October 29 - October 30
- Ghost Trap Topper
- Slimer Topper
