Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly today revealed the Total War Saga: Troy 2020 roadmap, outlining DLC and update plans for the remainder of the year.
Set to launch next month, Total War Saga: Troy’s team is currently focused on “creating the best campaign experience”. The first piece of DLC on Total War Saga: Troy’s 2020 roadmap is, then, slated for a September release, introducing the Amazons as a playable faction alongside full mod support on the Epic Games Store.
The Amazons DLC can be redeemed for free for a limited time as long as you have a Total War Access account.
Total War Saga: Troy 2020 Roadmap
October will be the month of the Blood & Glory DLC. As has been the case with all Total War games for a while now, Troy will launch without blood, likely in an attempt to get a more lenient age rating.
Usually, Blood DLCs can be picked up for a very small price, however, we don’t currently have exact pricing details on Troy’s.
Also in October the Total War Saga: Troy 2020 Roadmap reveals the Artemis free DLC. Moving onto November, that’s when multiplayer will come to Troy.
The final pieces of content on the Total War Saga: Troy 2020 Roadmap – the Ajax & Diomedes premium DLC and Hephaestus free DLC – are set to launch at some point in Winter.
Here’s a quick recap of everything coming to Total War in 2020, as per its roadmap:
- September - Amazons DLC & Full mod support
- October - Blood & Glory DLC & Artemis free DLC
- November - Multiplayer launch
- January 2021 - Ajax & Diomedes DLC and Hephaestus free DLC
Total War Saga: Troy is set to launch on August 13, exclusively through the Epic Games Store, and will be free to grab (and keep forever) for the first 24 hours following launch.
