World of Warcraft: Shadowlands’ Patch 9.0.5 is now live but the Wandering Ancient mount might take a few days before landing in your collection. Blizzard has confirmed, shortly after the patch landed, that everyone’s new tree friend is affected by a delivery delay.
The Wandering Ancient mount won the community vote back in September 2020, becoming the free mount Blizzard would give to all owners of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. While some lucky players can already ride their massive treants around Azeroth and beyond, some of us will have to wait a while longer to join them.
“We are expecting a delay with the delivery of the Wandering Ancient mount to all accounts with Shadowlands expansion activated. All eligible accounts should receive this unique mount over the next few days – thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, travellers,” reads a post on the Battle.net support website.
The Wandering Ancient mount will be given to all players with a copy of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands activated on their account, regardless of when they purchase the expansion. You should find it gift-wrapped in the Mounts tab of your Collections menu. Better yet, it changes colors with the seasons.
While the Wandering Ancient mount delivery delay is far from ideal, you can spend the few extra days grabbing some of that freshly-added Valor, which you can use to upgrade Mythic keystone gear.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is out now on PC. Players can look forward to flying, a new mega-dungeon, raid, and more in Patch 9.1.
