IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad takes to the skies in September 2014, with an open beta planned this Summer
1C Game Studios' WWII flight simulator IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad will be released in September 2014, the developer has announced in a press release sent to Strategy Informer today. The developers are also planning an open beta for this Summer. Taking place in the dangerous skies above the famous battle on the Eastern Front, Battle of Stalingrad will be an "accurate and detailed reconstruction" of one of the critical periods in the Second World War.

1C Game Studios has announced that their long-awaited flight sim IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad is now available for pre-order. The game is due to be released in the Spring of 2014, and will reportedly feature the highest level of physics modeling, damage modeling and aerodynamics seen in the long-running series.
