Publisher Mastertronic has announced that the remastered update to the classic futuresport game Speedball 2 is now available on Steam for $9.99 USD.

Mastertronic and Tower Software have announced that a new remastered version of Speedball 2 will be coming to Steam and Get Games on the 5th December 2013, developed by Vivid Games.

While the game was less than successful when it was released on Xbox Live Arcade four years ago, Speedball 2 has lived on as a favorite for nostalgic gamers of a certain age. The game became a smash hit as Speedball 2: Evolution on iOS devices, and now it'll be hitting PlayStation Network in October.
