Frozenbyte has posted a video response to Trine 3 feedback, particularly focusing on criticism of the game's length. Marketing manager Kai Tuovinen accepts responsibility for not fully explaining that the game would be shorter than its predecessors during the pre-release marketing. "As head of marketing here, I'll have to bit the bullet," he says "and blame myself for not revealing our plans to you from the start. Overall we're very proud of the game we made, a game we finished, we enjoy, and we think is fun."

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, the first game in Frozenbyte's fantasy puzzle series to feature fully 3D movement, has just left Steam Early Access. Trine 3 will move out of Steam Early Access next week
Frozenbyte has announced that its fantasy puzzle prequel Trine 3 will move out of Steam Early Access next week. The game's been available through Steam since April 21, and will be feature complete and ready to roll on August 20. "It’s been an amazing few months for our first 3D Trine game," writes the developer, "and we’ve learned a lot in this time. On behalf of all of Frozenbyte, I’d like to thank everyone who participated and helped us with your feedback. We’ve come a long way since the start of Early Access, and we’ve been cooking up some neat changes in the past couple of months after the latest update."
