Saints Row 4 Latest Updates
Saints Row 4 Gains Steam Workshop Support And a Steep 75% Discount
Following its inception, the Saints Row franchise stood introduced itself as a more comical take on Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto. As the years went on, THQ's bizarre sandbox practically became the face of the company before its untimely end. And while we haven't heard much from the series following 2013's Saints Row IV, we're likely to witness its obscenities all over again as Steam Workshop support makes a surprise appearance.
Deep Silver puts the oddest of pairings together in a new bundle
Sometimes it slips the mind just how varied developer Deep Silver's back catalogue really is, right up until two of their bigger franchises are put side by side in a bundle. Volition's creative director Steve Jaros heads off to Valve
Steve Jaros, a ten year veteran of Saints Row developer Volition, has announced via Twitter that he's moving over to Valve Software. "The past 10 years at Volition have been life changing. I've gotten to work with amazing people and made friends that will last a life time," the developer wrote.
Johnny Gat's back in the Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell standalone expansion
Volition finally revealed that new project they've been teasing at PAX Prime, and as we expected it's a new entry in the Saints Row franchise. Not a whole new game, but a standalone expansion titled Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell. As you might have guessed, the expansion sees series regular and general nutcase Johnny Gat make his escape from the underworld. While winding up poor Satan in the process.
Deep Silver teases Saint's Row reveal
A tweet from Deep Silver all but confirms that the "upcoming project" developer Volition is promising to reveal at PAX Prime this weekend will be a new Saints Row game. An embedded image shows the familiar Saints logo on what looks very much like a Ouija board. The logo is stamped with a '666'. After Saints Row 4's sci-fi shenanigans, could we be in for a horror-themed entry?
